Electronics Lab Technician

About the role

We are looking for an Electronics Lab Technician to join the REIDITE Electronics production team. You will be responsible for the assembly, soldering, inspection and validation of electronic boards and embedded devices, ensuring the highest quality standards in our products.

Responsibilities

• Assembly and soldering of SMD and through-hole components (manual and reflow soldering)
• Prototype and short-run assembly of electronic boards (SoM, carrier boards, extension modules)
• Visual and microscope inspection of solder joints and components
• Programming and functional verification of assembled boards
• Execution of electrical and functional validation tests according to established procedures
• Rework and repair of defective boards
• Mechanical assembly of devices and enclosures
• Component and laboratory materials inventory management
• Laboratory equipment maintenance and calibration
• Documentation of assembly processes and test results
• Packaging and order preparation for shipping

Requirements

• Higher vocational training in Electronics, Electrotechnical Systems, Electronic Maintenance or similar
• Minimum 1 year of experience in electronic board assembly
• Manual SMD soldering skills (0402 components, QFP, BGA a plus)
• Knowledge of reflow soldering processes (oven, solder paste, thermal profiles)
• Ability to read schematics and assembly drawings
• Proficiency with basic instrumentation: multimeter, oscilloscope, power supply
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Teamwork skills

Nice to have

• IPC-A-610 or IPC J-STD-001 certification
• Experience with professional soldering stations (JBC, Weller, Hakko)
• AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) knowledge
• BGA soldering and reballing experience
• Familiarity with ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) protection standards
• Experience with manual or semi-automatic pick and place
• Basic microcontroller programming knowledge (firmware flashing)
• Experience in production environments with traceability (ISO 9001)
